Acceleration

At ARDB, acceleration means meeting students where they are and helping them move confidently toward their future.

Beginning in 9th grade, all students participate in career exploration to discover their interests, strengths, and goals. Students are encouraged to select a Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathway that aligns with their passions and provides real-world skills for life after high school.

As students progress, eligible upperclassmen may choose to accelerate their learning through Advanced Placement (AP) courses or concurrent credit opportunities in partnership with Arkansas Tech University. These options allow students to earn college credit while still in high school, saving time and opening doors to post-secondary success.

Our commitment is simple and powerful: every student has an individualized success plan. This plan guides their academic choices, career preparation, and post-graduation goals whether that future includes college, workforce entry, or entrepreneurship.

At ARDB, acceleration is not about moving faster. It is about moving forward with purpose, ensuring each student graduates prepared for what comes next.
