Health Services
The Health Services team at ARDB is dedicated to ensuring the safety, well-being, and medical needs of every student. Our nursing staff provides comprehensive care and collaborates closely with families, teachers, and healthcare providers to create a healthy learning environment.
Individualized Care
In addition to preventive screenings, our nurses develop and implement Individual Healthcare Plans (IHPs) for students with chronic conditions or specialized medical requirements. These plans ensure that each student’s medical and educational needs are met in a safe and consistent manner.
Daily Support
The nursing office evaluates and treats illnesses and injuries, administers medications and medical procedures, and provides ongoing monitoring for students with complex health conditions—every day.
Training & Safety
Beyond direct care, the Health Services Department strengthens school-wide safety by offering professional development and emergency preparedness training for staff. Sessions include:
- CPR & First Aid
- Stop the Bleed
- Seizure Management
- Emergency Healthcare Planning
- Personal Care
These trainings equip staff to respond effectively to both everyday and emergency health situations.
Extracurricular Support
Our nurses also accompany students on local and out-of-state field trips, providing medical support and supervision so students can participate fully and safely in school-sponsored activities.
